One place where all of you is welcome.
Hi, I'm Larissa, founder of One Mind Body Therapy.
One Mind Body Therapy was created to offer integrative mental health care that combines evidence-based psychological therapy with personalised yoga and body-based movement.

With a special focus on trauma, I utilise EMDR and other related approaches to support recovery by addressing both psychological and physiological aspects of distress, promoting long-term wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful change.
Welcome to One Mind Body Therapy. I look forward to meeting you.

SERVICES
Psychological care
Holistic and human

I believe in addressing the root causes of daily struggles and breaking free from recurring patterns of distress. EMDR has been a central part of my clinical practice for the past five years and is thoughtfully integrated within a broader, whole-person approach to trauma recovery. Treatment is always tailored to your individual needs, and I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies to best support your healing.
You may be here seeking support for:

-
trauma / complex trauma
-
chronic anxiety and stress
-
nervous system dysregulation
-
burnout
-
emotional overwhelm
-
shutdown or dissociation
-
you feel "talk therapy hasn’t fully worked"
-
you are wanting more than symptom management

Medicare rebates: These sessions are offered as a registered Mental Health Endorsed Occupational Therapist, with additional training in Counselling, EMDR and other psychological modalities - meeting the criteria for Medicare rebates with a valid GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan.
Personalised Yoga
Mind-Body Connection

The body remembers what the mind tries to outrun.
Yoga invites them back into conversation.

Recognising the intricate link between mind, body and nervous system, I integrate tailored yoga and movement practices to support your unique emotional and physical wellbeing.

Sometimes life experiences leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves or unsettled within our own bodies. Trauma-informed and individualised yoga offers an opportunity to gently reconnect — building awareness of self, exploring safety within the body, and supporting regulation of your unique nervous system.
-
Individual sessions - Offered alongside therapy or as a standalone service.
-
Small group nervous system-informed yoga classes - Closed groups running across 4 week blocks.

These sessions are offered through my certified yoga teacher training, as a movement and nervous-system-support complement to therapy. As a yoga-based service rather than a clinical one, Medicare rebates are not available for these sessions.
WHY ONE
As humans, we are more than a thinking mind, more than a body, and more than our emotions alone.
We are shaped by the relationship between mind, body, connection, and environment.
I wanted to create a space where people can come as all of themselves and receive care that recognises these parts of ourselves are deeply interconnected, rather than divided across separate services.

One Mind Body Therapy brings together evidence-based approaches for both mind and body along one integrative path, supported by the continuity of one consistent therapist.

My hope is that you find a place where you feel seen, heard and held as you explore your unique pathway toward greater wholeness and connection.

MEET LARISSA
(And Mars, the therapy dog)
Hi, I’m Larissa.

I’ve been practising as a Mental Health Clinician for over 15 years across a variety of sectors, with the last eight years focused on individual psychological therapies for people experiencing trauma and other mental health challenges.
I’m a Mental Health Endorsed Occupational Therapist with a Master’s in Counselling, an EMDR Trained Practitioner, and a Certified Yoga Teacher with additional training in trauma-informed yoga.

For me, mental health practice and yoga have never felt like separate worlds so it is no surprise they have finally ended up in the same room.
I’ve always held a curiosity about people, relationships and how community functions. I’ve naturally been drawn toward supportive work and trying to understand what helps people feel more connected — to themselves, to others and to the world around them.
Yoga has been a steady constant in my life, alongside my passion for rock climbing, the ocean and outdoor adventure. These have always been my ways of recharging, finding inspiration, perspective, and a healthy dash of reckless abandon.
I’m also a new mother, navigating the wild and humbling journey of parenthood, which continues to teach me plenty about patience, vulnerability, growth and new levels of chaos.

And you’ll likely meet Mars, our therapy dog in training - truly, our first baby.
